The Big Bear is in Mrs. Bennett's Room

Written by Rhea S.
The Bowman Big Bear is learning how to go into math stations alongside Mrs. Bennett’s class. The class was learning how to transition at around 9:00 to 10:00 on Tuesday, October 17th, 2017.

Mrs. Bennett asked the class what groups they were in, to see if the class remembered. Hands shot through the classroom as Mrs. Bennett announced the groups. The Big Bear just silently looked around the classroom.

The bear was very impressed with what he saw. Mrs. Bennett was now showing the class a chart, to double check that they knew what color their groups were. The Big Bear was now especially enjoying how all of the students were transitioning to their seats as quickly as possible. The class paid all of their attention to their teacher and followed all of her instructions very carefully.

Now, Mrs. Bennett’s class was much more than that. When they transitioned back to their seats, the students got right to work, removing their materials. The bear was probably thinking, they are working so carefully and quickly. As students quickly cuddled around the bear to work, he thought, I think I am helping the students focus and do the right thing. And I think that he is.
